Hello, all! Today is very exciting because I’m finally posting a not entirely BTS-related thing. Wow!!
(Don’t be too happy, though, cause there will be plenty more of those coming in the near future, teehee.)
Anyway, I miss the outfit posts I used to do, so to spice things up a bit, I’ve decided to start doing them again — except much more high quality. It’s time to stop being lazy and settle for sucky iPhone selfies no more, especially since I have a perfectly good DSLR/many willing people to use it in order to take my photo.
Okay, so maybe not many people. And maybe not so willing. But, hey, they’ll take my picture when I ask, so why not??
(Just kidding 😉 )
Back to the topic at hand, though: I thrifted a denim dress and wore it to work yesterday.
It might be more chambray than denim, but whatever.
I got it at Buffalo Exchange (a really nice consignment shop) when I was in DC last weekend. I believe my sister found it for me and convinced me to buy it despite the fact that it was giant. I have no idea what brand it is because it’s missing a tag, but it was vintage-y and cool, and I figured I could somehow find a way to make it work.
Well, fast forward to yesterday, and after 20 minutes of trying on half the clothes I own/not liking any of them, I finally decided to just test this garment out and see what I could do.
I got the idea to layer something under it the second I laid eyes on it, but I was never quite sure what exactly I would use. I envisioned something pink, but at the time I was getting dressed, I only had two shirts and a shirtdress in my room where I was changing, none of which were pink and all of which were navy with white stripes. (To clear any confusion: My closet is actually in the hallway outside my room, and since I didn’t have the time to put clothes on, walk out my door, and rummage through it, I settled for using the three options I had directly on hand.)
It was actually the shirtdress that looked best underneath.
Yes, in all the pictures above, I am wearing two dresses. As my lovely coworker Annette says, the things we do for fashion…
Anyway, I really liked the outfit, despite the ridiculous layering, so I wore it.
And then I got stung by a bee.
Yup. That’s me getting stung. And my dog, Daisy. Hi, Daisy.
Now we’re done. Thank you so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed.
Until next time ❤
