THE SECOND TO LAST POST TTTTTTT FINALLYYYYYY
Yes, I’m excited to be finishing this up. As I keep saying, as much as I love BTS and the way they dress, I still have other things I want to post about. So the fact that I have another part of this massive comeback almost done makes me very happy.
Anyway, it’s time to talk about V, the crazy, cute creature that he is. So let’s get started on that.
Click here for the last post in the series and here for the next one once it is up. Or, simply continue on for this one (which I hope you will do no matter what).
Bangtan Style: How to Dress Like V in BTS’ “Young Forever”
This is my favorite outfit I’ve done yet. I feel like I always love the ones I create for V, but this specific one trumps everything. Here’s the inspiration behind it:
So elegant. So whimsical.
Now here’s mine:
It’s a little Valentino, eh?
Not gonna lie: I didn’t play by the rules at all. No pants, no blouse, no tie. It’s a stretch — and not just a bit of a stretch like normal but a full-on, sprain-your-groin-while-doing-a-split stretch. Yeah. I know. It’s not similar.
But at the same time, it still is. Hmm…
I feel like I say this every single post, but it’s true. You see, this is what I do these posts for: to teach people how to take the clothes they already own and dress in the specific way they want. If they see a celebrity in a magazine or on screen or in a music video and like the outfit that person is wearing, they don’t have to go out and drop $2000 just to get the purse or the shoes or the watch. If they get a little creative, they can have the whole thing for no cost at all, because, chances are, they already own it, just in a slightly different way.
Imagination, people. That’s all you need.
Anyway, enough justifying my choices. Why do they work? Because they give off the proper vibe. I have a white, blousy, long sleeve base and a black accessory around my neck that come together to make an elegant and whimsical look. If you wanna do it by sticking to the books and pairing a simple blouse with pants and a tie, then by all means, go ahead. But just know that you don’t have to.
Here’s a few more pictures of my look:
Now, I’m not quite sure what my logic for this next part was because I photographed it in May and thus have long forgotten. But I’m gonna assume I was going off of this picture below when I thought of it:
I don’t know. Maybe I’m just crazy.
But anyway, my point is supposed to be that you should keep in mind the possibility of not having anything on your neck.
Often in the music video, you can’t even see V’s tie, so if you don’t want any sort of accessory on your neckline, definitely don’t be afraid to skip it.
Here are a few more shots of what it looks like without the scarf:
And finally, the shoes:
Excuse the bug bites on my foot. This is an old picture from an old post, cause I apparently never shot my shoes for this one. Oops.
Anyway, I chose tan sandals instead of black oxfords because I just felt they went with the outfit better. If you want black shoes like in the MV instead, then, by all means, wear black shoes like in the MV instead. There’s absolutely nothing stopping you.
And that is all. Once again, click here for the last post in the series and here for the next. Thanks so much for reading.
Until next time ❤
