(I feel like I only ever post to say happy new year…)
Anyway, huge announcement: I’M LEGITIMATELY REVIVING MY BLOG!
YES! After it being mostly silent for almost two years, IT’S FINALLY COMING BACK!
I think I mentioned this forever ago, but my posts have been so scarce because I started writing a novel in January 2021. (Two years ago already 😦 ) It’s my dream to be an author, and after a year of grueling, nonstop, remote work in 2020 due to lockdown (preluded by two years of grueling, nonstop, in-office work pre-pandemic :/), I got sick of delaying my aspirations and finally began, challenging myself to actually finish a whole novel (since I typically start but fail to reach the end).
This time, I forced myself to keep it up and actually succeeded. In March 2021. Yup, it only took two months to write the entire 1,000-page book (which is now actually 6 books… More on that later.) And once done, I thought, Wow. Why not edit it?
So, that’s what I’ve been doing since March 2021, editing my first, complete novel, and while it may seem like a long time to nitpick at grammar, I wrote over 400,000 words in just a couple of months. To create something so long in such a short period of time… Of course, it needs major work. But now that I’m finally finished and simply querying for representation, I’m ready to get back to content creation.
Granted, even though my fiction writing is momentarily winding down, I still won’t be able to make lengthy, wordy, ultra-informative posts due to everything else I have going on, so this still won’t be the most prolific, groundbreaking blog. But it at least won’t be another lifeless site in the Internet Graveyard 🙂
I will try my hardest to post each week, and I recognize now that, through unforeseen circumstances and random bouts of laziness (or burnout), I’ll definitely fail. But I’ll at least be trying.

This blog’s name, I Really Hate Converse, will not be changing, and neither will its focus, except that it will mostly center on styling with slow fashion now, since that’s mainly how I shop/live. And while I’m thinking of updating the site design, as it hasn’t changed since 2017 (*cries *), I’m still going to keep my same, lovely brand of ridiculously lame Leah 🙂
So, please look forward to the future, and thanks for sticking around these last 9 years despite my frequent disappearances and the fact that I have totally, utterly failed as a blogger. I greatly appreciate you enjoying the hot mess express that is mua. *kiss, kiss*

Life has been like this since she arrived, and I love her more than anything ❤ She also just turned one ❤
