Hello, everyone! Today I went out and about to have a little fun, and this is what I wore:
It’s pretty much the rebirth of a skirt that I have had for a long, long time (since right after I started college) that I thought was going out of style and thus would have to be given away (to H&M’s recycling program, of course).
I haven’t worn it in a good year or so because I found it to be a little childish for the stage of my life that I’ve reached. But as I saw it in my closet today, I thought, why not try it again?
Instead of wearing it with a fitted shirt like I have always done before, I decided to pair it with an oversized, black turtleneck sweater [similar], just to see what would happen.
It turned out to be pretty dang cute, even though the sweater covered up half of the high-waisted skirt and thus all of my body’s definition. When paired with sheer tights and knee highs, it looked young and modern but not tacky and immature, something I was very proud to have finally achieved with this garment once again.
(Especially because it means I don’t have to get rid of it anymore 😀 )
And if you’re curious, I paired the outfit with this chic, little black bag from Kate Spade that my sister got me for Christmas [no longer available], as well as my black puffer coat from H&M and my black over-the-knee boots.
I think the next time I wear this skirt, it will be with a vintage t-shirt. Plaid and vintage t’s are all the rage right now, so why not give it a shot myself?
And that is all! Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you enjoyed. Please feel free to leave a comment down below.
Until next time ❤
